Almost all of my designs are named after places where I have spent time. Usually named after cities or countries, this is one of my exceptions. I think we have all experienced a solar or lunar eclipse at some point in our lives, but our most recent solar eclipse in August of 2018 seemed to stand out for me.
The sun and moon are represented by the mokume, the solar corona is represented by the 18k yellow gold perimeter. The diamond, naturally, is a star.
