Having spent much time in Cambodia over the last 15 years, much of the Buddhist and Khmer culture has found its way into my heart. There is a feeling of duality within Cambodia with the western culture pushing its way into this beautiful country.
The squares of the earrings are the modern, economical push of the numerous coffee shops and high rises that have popped up over the last few years, becoming a gathering spot for the wealthy of Phnom Penh. The elongation of the vertical and horizontal bars keeps the traditional, evoking the elegance of the ethereal Apsara dancers.
