This necklace can be worn at 3 different lengths.
1: Alone it is just a pendant.
2: Add the extender chain and it can be worn long or
3: wrap the chain with the extender to have a choker and long length

The Serengeti plain is an area with so much distinct wildlife it is astounding. During a backpacking trip to Africa, my first safari was to this particular area. I could not get enough of the animals and their dynamic. Like anyone, the elephants were a favourite. The rails on this necklace remind me of the tusks of these magnificent creatures, while the piece of mokumé in the centre is a tribute to the oxbows who perch atop these elephants.
