The Serengeti plain is an area with so much distinct wildlife it is astounding. During a backpacking trip to Africa, my first safari was to this particular area. I could not get enough of the animals and their dynamic. Like anyone, the elephants were a favourite. The rails on this necklace remind me of the tusks of these magnificent creatures, the two pieces of mokumé in the centre are not so much the oxbows who perch atop these elephants, but the partnering of these matriarchs with loved, lifelong friend, or their offspring.

This necklace can be worn at 3 different lengths.
1: Alone it is just a pendant.
2: Add the extender chain and it can be worn long or
3: wrap the chain with the extender to have a choker and long length
