Kakadu National Park in the Northern Territory of Australia is a dramatic landscape. While hitch-hiking through Australia many years ago, one of my rides was on their way here. The family was so very gracious to have me join in on a trip that I would have never been able to get to otherwise. In 1987, this park, which is half owned by the Aboriginal people, was in its infancy.
I have created 3 pendants to be looped together to form the cascading effect of the Jim Jim Falls. The diamonds represent the glint of sunlight off of the cascading water. The chain clasp with the jump rings are to be worn to be seen, much like the droplets of water flying from the falls.
These pendants can also be worn individually… which I think could be seen as the dry season!
While living in New Hampshire and Maine, this was the highway that would take me back home to visit my family back in Canada. The numerous swimming holes and streams strewn with pebbles, rocks and stones are stunning parts of this scenic highway in the White Mountains of NH. My dog would get particularly excited when our rest stop would allow her to play in the shallow waters.
This design is an organic style where pebbles vary in shape and size with each individual piece.
